How to reach Porto Seguro?

 

 

The city of Porto Seguro is situated by the Atlantic ocean in the region of Bahia, north of Rio de Janeiro and south of the city of Salvador. It lies at about half of the way between the two cities.

There is an airport at Porto Seguro, that is only two or three kilometres away form the centre of the city. That is why the city is easily reachable by flight transport from the biggest brazilian cities (Rio de Janeiro, Sao Paolo, Salvador, Belo Horizonte, Brazilia) and also from the majority of the smaller cities. There are also flights to Porto Seguro from Europe and North America. You can also fly to Porto Seguro from Europe, North America or other countries by changing the plane at Sao Paolo.

   
   

The prices of the flights vary. The cheapest prices are offered by the smaller brazilian flying company called Gol. There are also many possibilities of traveling for those who would like to travel by land and who enjoy looking thorough the window and appreciating the view while travelling. In spite of long distances, travelling by bus is very comfortable, and the bus stations on the way are clean, beautifully built and can offer you a wide choice of foods and drinks. There is a daily bus that goes in the evening from Rio de Janeiro to Porto Seguro, Sao Paolo, Belo Horizonte, Salvador, Brazilia and many other cities.

The prices of bus tickets are low. The 1200 kilometres long journey, which takes about 24 hours, costs about 50 dolars.
